All Financial Activity / AR Aging

A complete view of invoices, payments, and AR aging, on a Cash or Accrual basis.

The All Financial Activity / AR Aging report gives you a complete view of invoices, payments, and accounts receivable aging, and lets you choose the accounting style that fits your needs. It is located on the Accounting Summaries page of the Financials workbook.

Choosing your accounting basis

Use the basis toggle to switch between Cash and Accrual views of your financial activity. Cash reflects money when it is received; Accrual reflects revenue as it is earned. Pick the one that matches how your organization keeps its books.

Reading the AR aging buckets

Outstanding balances are broken into aging buckets: 0-30, 31-60, 61-90, and 91+ days. Use the date filter to set your reporting window, then read across the bucket columns to see how old each customer's outstanding balance is. This is the fastest way to spot overdue balances that need follow-up.

Tips

If your totals look different than expected, check the basis toggle first. Cash and Accrual can differ significantly for the same period, especially when payment plans or prepayments are involved.
