Business accounts for schools, clubs, and corporate clients

Create a Business account instead of a Family, give each contact their own login and role (Admin, Finance, Manager, Staff), or switch an existing Family or Individual account to Business.

What this helps you do

  • Set up a school, university, club, or company as a Business account

  • Give each contact their own email, login, and role so nobody shares a password.

  • Let the business's admins add and remove their own people online instead of calling you.

One account per email per organization. A customer cannot have two accounts in your organization with the same email. If someone runs a club team and has a family account with you, they need a separate email for each.

Create a Business account

  1. From Customers, click to add a new customer and choose Business (alongside Individual and Family).

  2. Enter the business name, phone, email, and address. These live on the account itself.

  3. Add each contact with their own email and assign a role.

Business accounts appear in customer search and can be filtered like any other customer type.

Business roles

  • Admin, Finance, and Manager — can log in to the consumer site and manage the account.

  • Staff — only see what they are personally signed up for.

Each business also has a default billing user, the same way a family does.

Switch an existing Family or Individual to Business

  1. Open the customer.

  2. From the ⋯ menu choose Switch Account Type.

  3. Review the preview: Primaries become Admins and Dependents become Staff.

  4. Confirm.

You can switch Family → Business and Individual → Business.

Admins manage the account online

Business Admins can do the following from their own profile, without contacting you:

  • Add a new member and set their role.

  • Change who is the primary contact, or remove an Admin.

  • Book and pay with their own card.

What a customer sees if they belong to more than one account

A consumer who has more than one account chooses which one to use during registration. If they already have an account in your organization, that one is used automatically at checkout, and the account members shown update to match.

Phase 2: Search, reservations, and invoices use the business name

Phase 2 puts the business name where you already search, book, and bill — so you find the school or club fast, see it on the reservation, and invoice the business (not only the person who clicked Pay).

Search by business name

Type the school or club in customer search. Results show the business name so you know why it matched — and pick the right contact the first time.

Business name on reservations

On the reservations list and reservation overview, the business account name appears so you know which school or club the booking belongs to.

Bill the business on invoices

Invoice billed-to uses the business name (and business email/phone) — not only the person who clicked Pay. Independents still look like people. Families keep the person first with the account underneath.

FAQ

Can the same email be on a family and a business account?

Not within the same organization. Use a second email for the second account.

What happens to roles when I switch a Family to Business?

Primaries become Admins and Dependents become Staff. The preview shows this before you confirm.

Who gets billed?

The default billing user on the account. Change it from the account, or change the payer on the cart at checkout. For Business accounts, invoice billed-to also shows the business name and business email/phone.

Troubleshooting

Can't add a member because the email is already in use

That email is already on another account in your organization. Use a different email for this business contact, or, if the existing account is a duplicate, merge it first.
