Scheduled Exports and Connections in Sigma

Send Sigma reports automatically by email, Google Sheets, or Google Drive, and see which destinations aren't available.

Need your Bond data in your own systems? Scheduled exports are built for sending reports to people. To load Bond data into your own data warehouse, BI tool, or cloud storage, use the Bond Snowflake Data Share. It gives you a live, read-only copy of your data that refreshes automatically, with no fee from Bond.

What a scheduled export does

A scheduled export sends a Bond report from Sigma to a destination on a repeating schedule, such as every Monday at 8am or the first of each month. Each run pulls fresh data at send time, so recipients always get the current numbers without logging in to Sigma. You can send a whole workbook, a single page, or one table or chart. For a short video walkthrough, see How to Subscribe to a Sigma Report.

Where you can send exports

Destination

Available?

What to know

Email

Yes

Send to Sigma users or any email address, up to 1,000 recipients. Attachments can be PDF, Excel, CSV, or PNG. All attachments together must be under 30 MB, or the send fails.

Google Sheets

Yes

Sends a single table to a Google Sheet. The first time, Sigma asks you to sign in to your own Google account. The sheet must be in your personal My Drive (not a shared drive), and you must be an Editor on it. Each run overwrites the same sheet.

Google Drive

Yes

Drops a file into a Google Drive folder. You sign in to your own Google account the first time. The folder must be in your personal My Drive (not a shared drive), and you need Contributor access or higher. Each run creates a new file named with the workbook, table, and timestamp.

Slack

No

Sigma allows only one Slack workspace for Bond's entire Sigma account, shared by every organization. We can't connect your Slack workspace.

Microsoft Teams and SharePoint

No

Sigma allows only one Microsoft 365 organization for Bond's entire Sigma account. We can't connect your Teams or SharePoint.

Cloud storage (Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob)

No

Cloud storage is configured once for Bond's entire Sigma account, so we can't connect your bucket. If you need your data in a warehouse or bucket, use the Snowflake data share instead (see the top of this article).

Webhook

No

Not available on customer accounts.

How to set up a scheduled export

  1. Open the report in Sigma.

  2. From the workbook menu, select Share and export, then Schedule exports.

  3. Click Add schedule (or + New schedule if the report already has one).

  4. Choose a destination: Email, Google Sheets, or Google Drive.

  5. Add recipients, or pick the Google Sheet or Drive folder.

  6. Choose what to send (the entire workbook, one page, or a single table or chart) and a file format.

  7. Set the Frequency: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom. Check the time zone dropdown so the export arrives when you expect.

  8. Optional: choose If a condition is met to send only when something is true, for example only when a table has rows.

  9. Optional: select Customize control values to apply your filters, such as a date range or a facility, to the export.

  10. Click Create.

Who sees what data

By default, a scheduled export contains the data that you, the person who created the schedule, can see in Sigma. Everyone on the recipient list receives that same data, including people outside your organization. Double-check your recipient list before you save.

If you want each recipient to see only the data their own Sigma login allows, select Run queries as recipient when you set up the schedule. With this option, every recipient must be a Sigma user, and the limit is 300 recipients.

Managing your schedules

  • See all of a report's schedules: workbook menu, then Schedule exports.

  • See every schedule you own or receive: click your user icon, then Profile, then Scheduled Exports.

  • Edit, pause, resume, send now, duplicate, or delete: use the More menu next to the schedule. Only the schedule's owner can change it.

  • Unsubscribe from a schedule someone else created: Profile, then Scheduled Exports, then Your subscriptions, then More, then Unsubscribe.

Each schedule shows its last run status (Success, Error, Running, or Skipped when a condition was not met). If a schedule fails more than 10 times in a row, Sigma pauses it and emails the owner. Hover over the paused status to see the error, fix the cause, then choose Resume from the More menu.

Disclaimer: report updates can affect your schedules

Bond regularly improves its Sigma reports. Scheduled exports always run against the latest published version of a report, so these updates can affect your schedules.

  • Exports can fail. A schedule that sends a single table, chart, or page points to that specific item. If Bond removes, replaces, or rebuilds it, the schedule can no longer find it and the export fails. After repeated failures, Sigma pauses the schedule and emails you.

  • Exports can change without failing. If columns are added, removed, or renamed, your export reflects the new layout. This matters most for Google Sheets and CSV files that feed formulas or other tools.

To fix a broken schedule, open the report, go to Schedule exports, choose Edit from the More menu, and select the table or page again. If it no longer exists, delete the schedule and create a new one. Reach out to your Bond CSM if you can't find the replacement.
