Set up Payment Processing: one bank account or one per facility

Connect one account for your whole organization, or give individual facilities their own bank account so money settles where it should.

Payment Processing is where you connect the Stripe account and bank account your payments settle into. You can connect one account for the whole organization, or give individual facilities their own.

What this helps you do

  • Keep a single bank account for everything, or

  • Route each facility's money to its own bank account when your facilities need funds to land in different places.

Where to find it

Go to Settings → Financial → Payment Processing. It replaces the old billing page. Each connected account has its own row, showing which facilities it collects for.

Connect an account

  1. Choose which facilities it collects for. Click + and pick the scope: All facilities, Some facilities, or a Specific facility. Facilities already claimed by another account are greyed out, with the name of the account holding them.

  2. Connect to Stripe. This is the same Stripe onboarding form as before. The row appears as soon as you confirm the facilities, so if you step away mid-onboarding you can resume it later.

  3. Add the bank details: account holder name, account number, routing number, currency, and billing address. On a shared account you enter these once and they apply to every facility on it.

Two ways to set it up

One bank account for everything

Connect a single account and scope it to All facilities. It collects for every facility.

Different accounts for different facilities

Scope an account to Some facilities or a Specific facility. To add more facilities to an existing account, use Edit facilities on that row. There's no second onboarding, and new charges for those facilities settle to that account right away.

Which account is used

The most specific account wins. A facility named on an account takes priority over an account scoped to All facilities. That means you can keep one default for the whole organization and attach exceptions to other accounts, without editing the default or listing every facility by hand.

Permissions

Payment Processing is controlled by the View & Manage Payment Processing permission, found under Settings permissions when you build a role.

  • Enabled: staff can connect a processor, assign facilities, resume onboarding, and update bank details.

  • Disabled: Payment Processing is hidden in Settings, and the direct link shows "Not authorized".

Facility access applies on top of this:

  • Staff can only attach accounts to facilities they have access to.

  • Staff can view, but not edit, an account that also covers facilities outside their access.

  • Editing an account scoped to All facilities requires organization-wide access.

Selling across facilities

A single card charge lands in one bank account, so one cart or invoice can only include items from facilities that pay out to the same account. If you run everything through one account, nothing changes for you.

Using one account for every facility? Nothing changes for your organization.
