Trending Analysis

Follow how revenue builds across any product, program, or GL code, at the time scale you set.

The Trending Analysis report tracks invoiced, paid, and recognized revenue trends over time. It is its own page in the Financials workbook.

How to Read the Report

What you can break down: revenue can be compared across a variety of fields, including GL Code, Product Type, Program Name, Session Name, and Day of the Week. This makes it the right report for questions like "how is revenue for this GL code trending month over month?" or "which day of the week do we sell the most?"

Setting the time scale: the report supports flexible time periods, from days up to quarters and years. Set the time grain to match the question you are asking, then set the date range to the window you want to compare. The YoY Comparison table alongside shows the same measure against the prior year.

Tips: if you are looking for a one-period financial summary rather than a trend, the Sales Summary report is usually the better starting point.
