How to set up Ice Rink Rentals
We recommend creating a dedicated Rink Rentals category so your booking rules stay separate from other rental products and categories.
Step 1: Create a Rink Rentals Category
In Rentals → Categories, create a new category with your rink-specific booking rules.
Give it a clear name (e.g. Rink Rentals)
Set your Slot duration - default, increments to make available and min/max slots
Set your per user restrictions — max bookable hours per day (optional)
Decide: auto-book (customer confirms and pays instantly) or require approval (customer submits a request)
Set advance booking window and minimum notice — how far ahead customers can see availability, and how close to start time they can still book
Optionally enable VIP Access for members

Step 2: Create Rink Rental Product(s)
Set up your rink rental products with the correct spaces, schedule, and pricing.
In Settings → Spaces, make sure your rinks are set to "available online"
In Rentals → Products, reuse your existing rink rental products
Assign your product to the Rink Rentals category you just created
Give your product a description customers will see on the portal
Attach any forms you want customers to complete during checkout
In Pricing, confirm your rate is configured. Optionally set up peak/off-peak pricing, membership discounts, and deposits
Optionally configure membership gating or customer-specific access (whitelisting)
Optionally: whitelist a handful of trusted renters with a custom rate.
In Online Settings: enable online booking, set the online schedule, and optionally upload a product image or give it a custom display name
Back Office: product setup
Back Office: online settings
Step 3: Create a Portal
In Rentals → Portals, create a portal for your rink rentals. Make sure your Facility, Category, and Activities are selected.
If you want rink bookings on their own dedicated link, create a portal specific to your Rink Rentals category — one org can run multiple portals per sport, facility, or booking type.
Step 4: Test your portal
Preview your portal link, make sure the content looks great, and test the full booking flow!
